Global Antitrust Review 2019 published
The Interdisciplinary Centre for Competition Law and Policy (ICC) published the latest review with Dr. Eda Sahin, and Queen Mary LLM graduates Necla Sumer Ozdemir and Ritika Sood, as editors.
The 2019 volume consists of contributions discussing a diverse selection of prominent and controversial topics. This includes articles discussing presumption of innocence in the current European Union cartel enforcement; the soft law of the European Commission and consistency of its enforcement; the suitability of regulation against excessive concentration of market power with a particular focus on Japan; and effects of the removal of anti-competitive provisions in the sale and purchase of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG).
These are complimented by essays focusing on intellectual property and competition law; the European Commission and the General Court decisions on the anti-competitive effects of pay-for-delay agreements and an economic assessment of the conduct of unilateral refusal to license cases in the United States of America.
GAR 2019 also features a review of the book Competition Litigation UK Practice and Procedure (OUP) by Mark Brealey QC and Kyle George.
For twelve years, the ICC Global Antitrust Review has allowed students engage in debate and analysis of the most important issues and phenomena in the global competition law scene.
