Research
The Centre has a broad research agenda of inter-disciplinary nature. Work undertaken includes both theoretical and practical elements.
Members of the Centre are able to undertake a wide-range of work in the field of competition law as well as related fields, given their expertise in the field of competition law, economic theory, arbitration, intellectual property, political science and social geography.
If you are interested in becoming a research student or learning more about current research students at the ICC, please see People-Research students.
For any other research query or to find out about opportunities to conduct research within the ICC, you are welcome to approach the ICC’s Director, Maher M. Dabbah whether via email or by telephone.
ICC MPhil/PhD Programme
The ICC attaches huge importance to its MPhil/PhD programme. This programme enjoys solid reputation around the world for attracting the highest quality of candidates.
We adopt an open-minded approach to MPhil/PhD applications that is designed to put the interest of the applicant first. It is therefore possible to make an approach only for the purposes of obtaining guidance on a research idea without any indication of a desire to join the ICC. Indeed, in the case of those applicants who do not end up securing a positive answer to study at the ICC, every effort will be made to help them in their application somewhere else and to introduce them to other institutions. The important thing for us is for competition law scholarship to flourish around the world, regardless of the place of study.
Those applicants who end up joining us become integrated in the management team and fill a variety of positions – including teaching and administration – to enable them to show leadership, develop their skills and feel as colleagues and not as students.
The ICC places particular importance on completion of research within time and currently holds a record of 100% successful completion rate within the time limit for full time study.
